BASE started at the brain child of Mandi Ilene Schiff, professional body painter of twelve years. She founded a group of professional body painters in Central Florida and decided to start showcasing their incredible talent. They started practicing their skills at paint parties called “jams.” After months of practicing they took their skills in front of the public eye and hosted jams at bars around town, she was still striving to be viewed as fine artwork, they found a venue and BASE was born. Mandi Ilene explained “Orlando has more body painters than any other city in the world, we needed a place to showcase our unique type of artwork.”
